What is My Android Lover about?
Lena designs humanlike androids, and EL-X, an advanced experimental model, began as the project of Ethan, the man she loved and lost. When Longview Technology moves to turn his unfinished experiment into a commercial service, Lena gets EL-X out of the lab, quits the company and starts teaching him to live among people. As her grief slowly eases, EL-X steps outside his programming: he makes his own choices, looks after her, grows attached and gets jealous. But the Longview Director wants the prototype back, a corporate rival is after the technology, and Lena has to fight for the freedom of a mind no one expected to want anything.
