What is Forbidden Love with Cupid’s Bow about?

Chloe Parker is at her breaking point: classmates Zoe and Mia mock her as a broke loser, her mother needs treatment Chloe can’t afford, and debt collectors won’t stop calling. At sunset she wades into the sea. On the rocks a heart-jeweled golden bow blazes to life, a luminous figure dives beneath the waves, and a young man carries Chloe back to shore. A charming stranger in a ruffled shirt calls himself a scientist, explains that his system is still being tested and hands her a $200,000 check signed “Cupid Amor,” if she keeps it confidential. The catch moves in: a gorgeous, literal-minded robot who washes her calculus textbook, peels off his wet shirt, stands far too close and studies kissing on an old TV, while Chloe struggles to keep her distance.
