Chasing a triple-pay shift, a young woman who juggles cleaning and café jobs is working a hockey team’s locker room, headphones on, when captain Liam steps out of the shower. Her gloved hand lands on his bare chest, and he warns her never to touch him again. Worse, the furious captain blames her for his broken lucky stick, and no apology calms him down. Liam storms onto the ice and scores a hat trick, then sits alone in the empty arena, pressing a hand to his abs in disbelief.
