What is Daddy, We’re Far From Common about?
When a helicopter’s controls seize over an airfield, seven-year-old Daisy grabs a radio in the control tower, declares herself interim navigator and, ignoring the controllers who tell her it isn’t a toy, talks the pilot through a safe landing. Instead of thanking her, the hotheaded pilot blames her for a scratch on his rental and demands she pay up, until her father, Richard, arrives. Daisy has big plans for him: she wants a stepmom, suggests wealthy Ms. Sophia and tells him he could be a billionaire, while Richard laughs it off as TikTok fantasy. At an exclusive bidding event, guests sneer at him as a social climber, and feared Cress Group executive Mike tells Richard to rein in his daughter—until Daisy produces a real invitation that nobody can explain.
