What is In Her Darkness about?
After a nightmare about her late son Kevin, Eleanor wakes to find her sight has returned. Then she sees her daughter-in-law Cassie with her secret lover, Ryan Holt, the family’s tutor, and hears them plotting to kill her once the insurance money is theirs. Eleanor keeps playing blind. She dodges poisoned food and a staged road accident, then confides in Doctor Carter, Kevin’s friend, who pretends to join the conspirators to buy her time. Medical records suggest Kevin’s fatal crash was no ordinary accident, and the trail leads to a prisoner who took the blame, to Ryan’s frightened wife Sophia and to a secret about Timmy, the boy Eleanor has raised as her grandson. One slip, and she is next.
