What is I Picked Up a God King about?
Chloe loses almost everything in a single week: a rival designer walks off with her boyfriend and with the portfolio she spent years building. Driving home, she nearly hits a marble statue of an impossibly beautiful man lying in the road, and takes it back to use as a mannequin. Her tears wake what is sealed inside — Ararius, an ancient God-King with golden eyes and no idea how the modern world works. He becomes her protector and her model; her new collection puts them both in front of the world. Then their enemies work out that the statue is his real body.
